Thoughts from Sunday Morning

It's Sunday morning, the sun is shining, and I'm listening to Maroon 5. It's a good day.

I still have a lot to do before this next week starts, but I'm taking a moment to write a short blog post. I know I've neglected it for a long time, but I'm going to try and start it up again. Along with many other things that I've stopped doing (like running and dieting). I've been thinking a lot lately about the brevity of life and the uncertainty of an afterlife. If you've read my previous blog posts then you know religion is something I've always had a hard time with. This year is making me think a lot about everything with all of the classes I'm currently taking.

One of the classes is Literature of the Islamic World. It's an interesting class because we've learned a lot about the history of Islam and some of their traditions. It's a beautifully peaceful religion for one that is often thought to be hate-filled here in the West. But this is again another example of why I have a problem with religions. For one that promoted tolerance and education, even it can be taken to extremes by a few people, giving it a bad name. Is nothing sacred?

Anyway, I'm rambling now. In other news, my new car, Rosie, is in the shop. Again. I'm worried about what it is. I hope it's nothing that's too expensive since I just had the alternator replaced on it about a week ago. I really just want a car that runs correctly.

Well, I think that's all I have time for now. I need to get to cleaning up a little bit. Maybe some laundry too. I've got a lot of homework that I need to get done. I'm going to be trying to update this more regularly. Perhaps it will serve as a diary for myself. Something to help me keep my jumbled mind in order.

Oh, I almost forgot! I'm in a Creative Writing class this semester too. Maybe it will help me with my writing. Or should I invest in video equipment? Do people even read anymore? Until then, don't forget to be awesome.
